Administrative History | The Sunday School was begun by the Wesleyan Methodists in 1814 and met in a house in Sunderland Street. The building was erected in Mill Street (Lower Exchange Street) in 1819. From 1872 it was used also as a Day School, which closed in 1966. (For related Day School records see SL 79.) In 1947 the Sunday School moved to the Chapel premises in Sunderland Street. Post 1947 Sunday School records are therefore listed with those of Sunderland Street Chapel (ref. EMS 6). |
